New E-Rate Standardized Dates

Hello Everyone,

In the most recent communication, USAC announced new standardized dates for FCC Form filing deadlines. This will allow applicants the ability to plan ahead to allow filings to occur earlier rather than later. These dates will begin for Funding Year 2019 and will continue. One piece to know is that if a deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, the date will NOT be adjusted to the next business day. Please plan accordingly.

New Standardized E-Rate Filing Calendar Starting FY2019
  • July 1 - Open Window Form 470 for the Next Funding Year
  • October 1 - January 7 - Administration EPC Profile Window
    • This window allows applicants to make any adjustments to their profile (i.e. student population, entity correction/addition, etc.)
  • January 10 - March 20 - Form 471 Filing Window
    • February 20 - Form 470 Window Close (28-Day) (Drop Dead Date)
  • April 19 - September 1 - USAC Goal to issue FCDLs
  • Form 486 - This will still be 120 days after the FCDL has been issued (no change)
  • Form 472 - This will still be 120 days after the last date of service or 120 days after the date of the 486 Notification Letter, whichever is later (no change)

I hope this comes across as good news to you as I see this as an improvement to help better forecast and plan for E-Rate filings. Please let me know if there are questions.

Thank you,
Todd
