Hello Everyone,
I want to send out an update so that everyone knew why you may not have been getting the email notifications you had been in the past. Apparently, there was a size limitation on the notification email that was sent. I have now adjusted this and should be coming to you now again. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused with my communications not reaching you.
Please reach out to me if there are any questions or if you notice any irregularities at tlawrence@sde.idaho.gov.
Thank you,
Todd Lawrence

New E-Rate Standardized Dates
Hello Everyone,
In the most recent communication, USAC announced new
standardized dates for FCC Form filing deadlines. This will allow applicants
the ability to plan ahead to allow filings to occur earlier rather than later.
These dates will begin for Funding Year 2019 and will continue. One piece to
know is that if a deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, the date will NOT be
adjusted to the next business day. Please plan accordingly.
New Standardized E-Rate Filing Calendar Starting FY2019
- July 1
- Open Window Form 470 for the Next Funding Year
- October
1 - January 7 - Administration EPC Profile Window
- This
window allows applicants to make any adjustments to their profile (i.e.
student population, entity correction/addition, etc.)
- January
10 - March 20 - Form 471 Filing Window
- February
20 - Form 470 Window Close (28-Day) (Drop Dead Date)
- April
19 - September 1 - USAC Goal to issue FCDLs
- Form 486 - This will still be 120 days after the FCDL has been issued (no change)
- Form 472 - This will still be 120 days after the last date of service or 120 days after the date of the 486 Notification Letter, whichever is later (no change)
I hope this comes across as good news to you as I see this as an
improvement to help better forecast and plan for E-Rate filings. Please let me
know if there are questions.
Thank you,
Todd
FY2018 Funding Wave #17 Released!
Hello Everyone,
Congratulations to the
following list of Idaho entities. This is a list of those Idaho applicants
whose Funding Requests (FRN) are included in Funding Wave #17 for FY2018. Below
is the list of the funding breakdown:
Total
Commitment Wave 17 (Idaho): $23,553.48
To
complete the Form 486, please follow the directions listed here:
Log into EPC to file the
Form 486. The Form 486 is NOW available in EPC.
As with FY2016 and 17, no paper FCDL forms are being mailed for FY2018.
Steps to take and
items to pay close attention to on the 486:
1.
Go to your
landing page
2.
Look for the
“Form 486” listed in the upper right corner.
3.
Choose only the
FRNs that are ready for filing.
4.
Modify the
service start date(s) as appropriate. Typically, this is July 1, 2018.
5.
Choose the
correct CIPA certification based on your situation. Be
careful here to ONLY select the one that applies...not all three.
6.
Review your form
carefully before you certify it.
A funding wave will be
released each week until all funds are exhausted.
If you were NOT included in
this wave or any previous wave, it only means your application hasn't yet been
reviewed. Continue watching for an email for notification that your PIA
questions are available in EPC. As soon as the questions are answered, you'll
likely be in an upcoming funding wave. If there are concerns with your funding
requests, send me an email and I can looking into it and see if I can get more
information.
